Roseanne Barr’s “Roseanne” reboot is such a critically acclaimed, runaway success that she’s considering running for president. Again.
“Roseanne” posted incredible numbers for its first episode, drawing in more than 18 million viewers — a success largely unheard of on network television since the dawn of streaming video — and conservatives and liberals alike are hailing it for its unitive storylines, suggesting that “Roseanne” was precisely what was needed to break the political tension holding the country hostage.
But the star, Roseanne, seems to be confusing the embrace of a scripted television comedy for love for her personally, and she’s ready to capitalize.
According to the Washington Examiner, Roseanne says she’ll be happy to pick up the celebrity candidate slack when Donald Trump finally leaves office. Running for president, she says, is “never off the table.”
