On the day after Easter Sunday, four Christians were brutally killed and a young girl injured in an attack perpetrated in Quetta, the capital of the restive province in Pakistan. The radical terrorist organization known as the Islamic State or ISIS has taken responsibility for the assault.
Pervaiz Masih was preparing to transport his 12-year-old daughter Sidra, brothers-in-law Imran Masih and Tariq Masih, and sister-in-law Firdous across the city in his rickshaw when unidentified assailants opened fire on them, killing everyone except the child, according to Morning Star News.
Imran, Tariq, and Firdous were visiting from Sheikhupura District to celebrate Easter Sunday with their relatives.
ISIS released a statement shortly afterwards claiming that a “covert unit” had “managed to target a number of the combatant Christians” and “shot them with a pistol, which resulted in the killing of four of them, and all praise is due to Allah.”
