Speaking at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service Tuesday in Washington, D.C., President Trump honored the American law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and pledged to do everything in his power to protect those currently serving.

He also pledged to give police officers the tools they need to do their job effectively.
