On Thursday, the day after Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his impending retirement, paving the way for another genuine conservative to join the Court, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who made sure the late Justice Antonin Scalia’s seat got filled by a conservative, seemingly had a little fun of his own, trolling former President Obama by wearing a suit exactly like his. Obama had caused mild controversy when he appeared in the briefing room in 2014 wearing a tan suit.
McConnell had famously warned then-Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid back in 2013 not to destroy the filibuster and make a simple majority in the Senate enough to confirm a judicial nominee:
Revenge, sweet glorious revenge.

But Reid didn’t listen, and McConnell had every right to enjoy the moment, which did not go unnoticed:
MCCONNELL (in shirtsleeves): Bring me the tan suit, Covington.
COVINGTON (an aide): But sir, the libs are already on suicide watch, I don’t know if—
MCCONNELL: The tan. Suit. https://t.co/ywHznn7G85

I'd say "who wore it better?", but McConnell wore it better and there's no debate. https://t.co/BzwEAfvcmn
