In trying to make the case that Democrats are tougher on protecting the border than Republicans, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi referred to the Sept. 11 attacks as merely an “incident.”
That “incident,” of course, killed nearly 3,000 Americans in the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil.

Pelosi’s comment came during a discussion about the Trump administration’s positions on immigration and its claims about how Democrats are weak on border security. The California Democrat made the case that Republicans aren’t actually that strong on this issue because they did not implement some of the recommendations from the 9/11 Commission.
